Wherever you go, there you are.

A friend posted today on Facebook that a friend of hers who was depressed committed suicide.

I want to let that sink in.

First, prayers and thoughts to her, her family, her friends and everyone who knew her.

Second, be her voice in calling for reform for brain chemistry disorders. Let’s ensure that everyone who needs help gets help.

Third, think about this. What if a library or a courthouse or a police station or anywhere that our hard earned tax dollars fund had information or counseling services — what if she could have reached out in her community and had someone reach back. Would she be alive today? Highly likely.

This is why I am doing The elai Project, Inc. (a 501 c 3 corporation), to make every social goods agency fully accessible, with information about conditions that affect us and disabilities, so wherever someone needs the help, there is it.

Wherever you go, there you are. Wherever you go, there should be help.

Here is a link about my friend’s friend.
